Overview
“Some secrets ripen in salt.”
A concept book-launch page for a literary novelist. It puts the new title front and centre, leans on critic praise, and makes pre-ordering the single obvious action.
Design direction
Deep midnight navy with antique gold gives a bookish, evening-reading feel. A classic Garamond-style serif carries the voice. The book cover is built as a tilted 3D object that sits in front of an author portrait, joining the story and the storyteller in one image.
The problem
A pre-order window is short and unforgiving. Everything competing with the buy button had to justify itself or go.
What we did
Critic praise, an excerpt and a single pre-order action, arranged so a reader can decide in one scroll. Retailer choice appears only after the decision is made.
