Overview
“I draw happy little worlds.”
A concept portfolio and print shop for an independent illustrator. The site itself should feel like her work: bright, a little silly and full of personality, while still leading to commissions and print sales.
Design direction
Bold primary colours, thick ink outlines and offset 'sticker' shadows. A chunky grotesque headline with a highlighted word, a handwritten annotation with an arrow, and tilted artwork cards stacked like a sketchbook all add a hand-made feel.
The problem
Commission enquiries and print sales pulled in opposite directions, and a neutral portfolio flattened work that is anything but neutral.
What we did
A site built like her illustration — outlines, stickers, tilt — with commissions and shop split into two clear paths from the hero.
