Overview
“Light the dark forest.”
A concept game page for a one-person studio. For indie games, wishlists are the key metric, so the page combines atmosphere (a playable-looking scene) with clear wishlist and demo actions and an honest devlog.
Design direction
A twilight pixel landscape (moon, stepped hills, pine silhouettes and a lantern-carrying hero) is built entirely in code, so it stays sharp at any size. A chunky pixel font with hard drop shadows, a lantern-amber accent and retro progress bars keep the whole page in-world.
The problem
Wishlists decide an indie launch, and a trailer alone does not earn one from a stranger.
What we did
Pixel-art screens, a short loop of actual gameplay and a single wishlist action repeated at each scroll stop. Devlog entries give returning visitors something new.
